GET READY

TO VOTE

IN GEORGIA

Early voting is open through November 1st!

The deadline to register to vote was October 7th.

How to Vote Early in GA

Early voting is available through November 1st in Georgia.

  • Find early voting sites and schedules in your county: Find Your Early Voting Polling Place

  • You need to show photo ID to vote. If you don't have an ID, you can still cast a provisional ballot which will be counted as long as you bring your ID within 3 days of voting. If you lost your ID due to Hurricane Helene, you have additional options.

Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots must be received by 7pm on Election Day to be counted. If you are worried it won’t arrive in time via mail, you can take your completed absentee ballot to an approved location.

Once you've submitted your ballot, you can track it by clicking the red button below.

What to Bring to the Polls

  • You need to show photo ID to vote. Approved photo ID includes a GA driver’s license or state ID, any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, a U.S. passport, or a military ID.

  • Voters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to vote a provisional ballot. You will need to provide a copy of your ID within three days after the election to your County Board of Elections and Registration. As long as you do so, your provisional ballot will be counted, as long as you are otherwise eligible to vote.

Voting in Areas Impacted by Hurricane Helene

For those in counties impacted by Hurricane Helene, you have additional options to vote. Visit this page for more information.

  • If you are displaced, you can request an absentee ballot to be delivered to your new location. Fill out and upload and absentee ballot request here.

  • If you have already requested an absentee ballot, but would like to update your address to a new location, fill out and upload a new absentee ballot request form here.

  • If you have requested an absentee ballot, but would prefer to vote in person, you may show up to vote in person in your county and cancel your absentee ballot. You may vote in any early voting location in your county, or at your assigned precinct on election day. Find your assigned precinct by checking mvp.sos.ga.gov.

  • If you lost your photo ID due to Helene, you have options:

    • You can obtain a Voter ID card from any Georgia Department of Driver’s Services office free of charge.

    • You can obtain a Voter ID card at any county registrar’s office. In order to do so, you must provide:

      • A photo identity document or approved non-photo identity document that includes full legal name and date of birth.

      • Documentation showing the voter’s state of birth.

      • Evidence that the applicant is a registered voter.

      • Documentation showing that applicant’s name and residential address.
